Patient Care Assistant/Tech & Clerk
**Department:** Livingston/Brighton Surgical Services - The **Livingston and Brighton Surgery department** combine to 7 operating rooms and 3 procedural suites that average 50+ cases per day. Our mission is to provide the highest-quality care to every patient who requires a surgical intervention; both during preparation for surgery and recovery from anesthesia. We care for a wide variety of service lines for patients with an expected same-day discharge: Otolaryngology, Plastics, General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Bariatrics. Our nursing staff is supported by department-based Anesthesiologists. We have the distinction of being a Robotic Center of Excellence.
**Location:** Trinity Health Livingston/Brighton
**Pay: $15.79-22.11 per hour** based upon applicable on the job patient care experience

Position Purpose
The PCA, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care.
When working in the Clerk capacity you will be performing clerical duties and maintaining patient charts/unit records. Performing unit specific tasks, stocking supplies and assures availability of supplies and equipment for patient and unit.
**Shifts Available:** Days
**Status Available:** Full time, benefit eligible (80 hours per pay period – every two weeks)
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One to two years related experience.
