We Are:
A nationally accredited team of passionate professionals devoted to building better lives and a better community through the power of parks and recreation. Our talented team is devoted to community service and provides a diverse range of programs, services, opportunities and experiences while being united through our core pillars of creating equitable economic impacts; advancing conservation; rejuvenating health and wellness; enhancing quality of life and sustaining social equity.
The team member we’re searching for would be part of the Community Recreation Services Section and report to an Assistant Director. This is a team who is passionate about serving our community, is adaptable, and resilient. We directly serve our community through programming, building relationships, creating welcoming cultures, and connecting our community to wellness, the outdoors and lifelong learning.
If You Are:
A Leader. You are someone who is invested in the people you serve at work and in the community, are excited to strengthen culture and the lives of your team members. You are a steward of community and the neighborhoods you work in, and lead your team by example to connect them to the bigger picture. You know how to make the most impact out of resources available to you. When priorities or direction shift suddenly, you see an opportunity instead of letting it throw you off, and you are a source of stability for your team members when things change or happen unexpectedly.
A Communicator. You pride yourself on your communication skills. Through experience and intuition, you know how to analyze and responsibly share information. You take initiative to develop creative solutions while clearly communicating regardless of the audience. You use your skills as a communicator to build and inspire people around you.
A Team Player. You may be a manager, but you’re not above the work of your team. In fact, you can’t wait to jump in to support your team when they ask for help (and even when they don’t ask). You recognize your value and are excited to contribute to projects and offer your expertise. You aren’t afraid to ask for support too, and are comfortable doing so because of the relationships you foster.
An Ambassador. Through fun times and challenges alike, you build trust with the community by being genuine and authentic. You are a proud promoter of our mission, as well as an advocate for the community’s needs. You are excited to welcome people into safe, positive, clean spaces that contribute to their health and wellness. You contribute to the culture of your community and help make it come alive in your interactions with the community and team members.
