Maintenance Planner
Compensation:** **$65,000 – $80,000 base + $7,500 bonus target
Schedule:** **Day Shift, Monday–Friday
Position Summary
The **Maintenance Planner** plays a critical role in promoting safety, quality, and reliability across all facility operations. This role drives workforce productivity by eliminating potential delays and obstacles in advance, ensuring labor, parts, and materials are coordinated effectively. The Planner will own the scheduling of all maintenance work, maintain accurate records for reporting and analysis, and partner closely with the Maintenance Manager to support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
+ Receive, review, and screen all maintenance work orders for accuracy, clarity, and priority.
+ Create and issue approved work orders; escalate questionable requests to the Maintenance Manager.
+ Gather necessary documentation (blueprints, manuals, procedures) to clarify work scope.
+ Determine the safest, most efficient sequence of steps for each job, including required labor hours, tools, and materials.
+ Partner with purchasing to secure timely delivery of required parts and equipment.
+ Estimate labor, material, and total costs for each work order.
+ Assign and track delay codes for backlogged or unplanned work orders.
+ Maintain work order records to enable meaningful reporting and analysis.
+ Ensure safety requirements are prioritized in every maintenance plan.
+ Support cost control, production deadlines, and continuous improvement goals.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required (Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical preferred).
+ Minimum of **3 years’ maintenance management or planning experience** .
+ Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
+ Proven ability to prioritize and organize workload under changing deadlines.
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels (associates through senior management).
+ Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, make sound judgments, and respond effectively to shifting demands.
