    We are seeking a **IH Technician 2** to join our Anchorage, AK team! Come join us!

    Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Complete routine tasks associated with industrial hygiene inspections and assessments.

    + Assist in preparing a variety of regulatory-driven and client-specific industrial hygiene reports.

    + Manage assigned project tasks on time, within scope and within budget in a safe manner.

    + Possess a basic understanding of United States Environmental Protection Agency and State of Alaska environmental regulations.

    + Possess good oral and written communication skills.

    + Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision and as part of a team to meet organization and project objectives.

    + Implement and diligently adhere to corporate health and safety policies and procedures.

    + Prepare daily field reports documenting field activities and system performance specifications.

    + Perform routine maintenance of field equipment utilized by the Anchorage office.

    + Assist with cost estimating and procurement of equipment and parts.

    + Regularly conduct daily field work (including travel within Alaska and Atlas’ Pacific Northwest region) as needed.

    + Willingness to be cross-trained for other environmental sampling and assessment assignments such as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and soil, air and groundwater sampling.

    Minimum requirements:

    + Preference will be given towards candidates with a Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma with several years of applicable experience in a similar role with an environmental or engineering consulting firm.

    + Ability to work independently on assigned project tasks with limited supervision.

    + Good technical and organizational skills.

    + Ability to effectively support current and upcoming projects in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest Region of Atlas.

    + Field work, including IH surveys, asbestos and lead sampling, abatement oversight, field equipment calibration, and routine maintenance.

    Technical requirements:

    + 40-hour HAZWOPER experience and training

    + 24-hour asbestos inspector certification

    + 40-hour asbestos abatement/supervisor certification

    + Lead awareness training

    + Working knowledge of United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and State of Alaska environmental regulations

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

    + Proficiency in CADD and/or GIS considered a plus

    Other miscellaneous qualities:

    + Ability to travel, primarily within Alaska but also within Atlas’ Pacific Northwest Region

    + Dependable, organized, detail oriented, and resourceful

    + Positive, flexible team-oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

    + Ability to work efficiently and independently.
