    Job Description

    Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking aSenior Conference Services Manager for the beautiful Barton Creek Resort & Spa! Ranked among the best resorts in Texas: Top 5 Resorts in the Southwest Conde Nast Traveler and Top 5 Resorts in Texas T ravel + Leisure World's Best Awards 2024

     

    The Senior Conference Services Manager plays a pivotal role in creating unforgettable group experiences while driving revenue growth and ensuring operational excellence. This position is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of group programs with the highest standards of service, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Acting as the primary liaison between clients and the resort, the Senior Manager ensures every detail is thoughtfully designed and flawlessly delivered.

    Responsibilities

    Event Planning & Execution

     

    + Proactively plan, detail, and execute group sales bookings with precision and creativity.

    + Oversee all event-related logistics including meeting space, audio-visual, culinary, beverage, outside vendors/rentals, BEOs, room diagrams, and group resumes.

    + Conduct site inspections, conference calls, and pre-/post-event meetings as needed.

    + Serve as the client’s primary contact throughout their program, ensuring seamless communication and accountability for the group’s entire stay.

     

    Revenue Growth & Upselling

     

    + Maximize group revenue contributions through strategic upselling of menus, enhancements, rentals, and event services.

    + Collaborate with Catering and Conference Services teams to design profitable, innovative menu offerings.

    + Consistently achieve or exceed annual banquet revenue goals and contribution per group room night.

     

    Guest Satisfaction & Relationship Management

     

    + Build strong, collaborative relationships with banquet and food & beverage operations teams.

    + Proactively encourage meeting planners to complete post-event surveys and partner in achieving departmental satisfaction goals.

    + Review final billing and conduct event evaluations with clients to ensure expectations were exceeded.

    + Represent the resort at client meetings, site visits, and Omni-sponsored programs (OST, OSC, AES, Omni Circle initiatives).

     

    Leadership & Operational Excellence

     

    + Act as a role model of professionalism, responsiveness, and guest-centric service.

    + Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business demands.

    + Support departmental initiatives, contribute innovative ideas, and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

    Qualifications

    + Proven experience in conference services, catering sales, or event management within a luxury hotel or resort environment.

    + Strong track record of achieving revenue goals and driving upsell success.

    + Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client-relations skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously with a keen eye for detail.

    + Flexible schedule with availability to work extended hours as business needs require.
