    We are seeking a Sr Manager Software Engineering, Championing Innovation and Team Engagement on Client-Facing Initiatives.

    Position Overview

    The Sr Manager of Software Engineering plays a crucial role in aligning technical expertise, business goals, and leadership. This position requires strong technical skills, strategic insight, and effective people management. The Sr Manager works closely with teams to integrate modern technologies into client solutions and is responsible for shaping both software delivery and the organization's future.

    Key Responsibilities

    A Sr Manager of Software Engineering wears many hats, each crucial to the organization’s success. The main responsibilities include:

    + Strategic Planning and Vision: Setting the technical vision and executing the roadmap for the software engineering teams, in alignment with the company’s broader mission. Continuously evaluate the technical roadmap and adjust priorities in response to changing business needs and client feedback. Set ambitious yet achievable goals promoting innovation, accountability, and measurable success.

    + Team Leadership and Development: Recruiting, mentoring, and nurturing engineering managers and senior engineers. Building a high-performance culture that values innovation, quality, and continuous learning. Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing engineering team, nurturing a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    + Project and Program Oversight: Ensuring the successful delivery of software projects, often involving complex, cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), project milestones, and delivery timelines.

    + Process and Quality Improvement: Defining and refining processes for software development, deployment, and QA to achieve efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

    + Stakeholder Management: Acting as a liaison between engineering, product management, executive leadership, and external partners or clients.

    + Budget and Resource Management: Allocating resources, managing budgets, and ensuring the optimal use of talent and technology investments.

    + Risk Management: Identifying technical and organizational risks and implementing robust mitigation strategies.

    + Technology Evaluation and Adoption: Keeps abreast of emerging technologies, evaluating relevance, and shepherding adoption if they align with strategic needs.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

    + 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership or management capacity.

    + Expertise with SaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred).

    + Demonstrated expertise in architecting and delivering complex client-facing software solutions across multiple domains.

    + Extensive experience leading and growing diverse engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

    + Proven track record of successful project delivery with direct client engagement.

    + Strong knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.

    + Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

    + Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and tactical execution.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + ​​MBA or equivalent business experience.

    + Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or relevant technical domains.

    + Experience with distributed teams and global delivery models.

    + Experience working in a consulting, professional services, or client-driven organization is a plus.

    + Advanced understanding of cybersecurity practices and compliance standards.

    Work Enviroment:

    + This is an on-site position in Charleston SC.
