Description
Amazon's Worldwide Technology Deployment organization is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to join our Content Capture, Generation, and Documentation (CCGD) team. This role will drive the tooling strategy and infrastructure planning that enables successful deployment of Amazon Robotics technologies across our global network. You will work cross-functionally with Tech Deploy teams to develop and standardize tooling requirements for technologies that are deployed at scale.
Success in this role means:
* Creating scalable tooling solutions that support efficient deployments for generally available (GA) technologies
* Developing comprehensive documentation that becomes the single source of truth
* Building strong partnerships across engineering, operations, and vendor teams
* Standardizing tooling strategy and best practices
* Contributing to measurable improvements in deployment efficiency
Key job responsibilities
* Develop and manage comprehensive tooling strategies for NPI technologies
* Drive vendor selection and management for tooling solutions, balancing in-house capabilities with outsourced options
* Define and document tooling requirements and criteria from prototype through GA phases in the Deployment Playbook
* Collaborate with safety, supply chain, and engineering stakeholders to gather and validate requirements
* Manage project budgets and resource allocation across multiple NPI programs
* Establish processes for validation and verification during alpha/beta deployments
* Create product roadmaps that align with program deployment timelines
* Contribute to the Deployment Playbook framework with comprehensive tooling documentation and best practices
* Drive continuous improvement for deployment efficiency
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field
* 7+ in technical program management or tooling/fixtures development
* Experience managing strategies for complex mechanical or robotics systems
* Strong track record of vendor management and supply chain optimization
* Experience creating technical documentation and standard operating procedures
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
* Experience with budget management and resource allocation
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with robotics deployments or automated material handling equipment
* Knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulatory requirements
* Experience with tooling design and manufacturing processes
* Background in deployment readiness or new product introduction
* Familiarity with documentation management systems and processes
* Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
