Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing daily preventive maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment and machinery operate efficiently. You will conduct routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to prevent unexpected breakdowns. Diagnosing and resolving issues with Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is a key aspect of this role, ensuring seamless operation of automated systems.

Responsibilities

+ Perform troubleshooting and repairs on 208V 3-phase electrical systems to maintain optimal performance and safety.

+ Accurately document all maintenance activities, including tasks performed, parts replaced, and any issues identified, using the Maintenance Connection Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

+ Safely work with 24V electrical systems, ensuring proper installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

+ Perform maintenance and repair of packaging machines to ensure efficient and reliable operation.

+ Maintain and repair conveyor systems to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production flow.

+ Troubleshoot and repair labeling machines to ensure accurate and efficient labeling of products.

+ Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, and building repairs, to ensure a safe and functional work environment.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic troubleshooting.

+ Experience with preventive maintenance and repair of 3-phase motors and 480V systems.

+ Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

+ Expertise in PLC troubleshooting and maintenance.

+ Knowledge of industrial facilities maintenance and welding techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with CMMS for documentation and maintenance tracking.

+ Familiarity with facility maintenance tasks, including HVAC and plumbing.

+ Understanding of blueprint reading and interpretation.

Work Environment

This position is for the 2nd shift, working from 4:00 PM to 3:00 AM Monday through Friday. The work environment includes exposure to smells reminiscent of caramel, and involves working with conveyor systems, boilers, freezers, corn syrup tanks, and condensers. Safety and proper handling of equipment are paramount.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westlake, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
