    Job Title: HVAC/R Service Technician

    Job Description

    Perform HVAC/R service and maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance, safety, and operational efficiency across facilities. Utilize current HVAC/R knowledge to enhance action plans and mentor others. Complete service tasks by adhering to company policies, utilizing data, and collaborating effectively. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R systems, EMS, and digital controls. Conduct preventive maintenance and manage workloads with external providers.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform HVAC/R service and maintenance tasks ensuring compliance and safety.

    + Apply current HVAC/R knowledge to improve action plans and guide others.

    + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R systems, EMS, and digital controls.

    + Conduct preventive maintenance and manage workloads with external providers.

    + Track refrigerant levels and parts usage, order and manage HVAC/R parts and supplies.

    + Maintain supplier and contractor relationships.

    + Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations, including building codes and indoor air quality.

    + Follow OSHA and EPA guidelines, including refrigerant reclamation.

    + Model ethical behavior and company values in daily operations.

    Essential Skills

    + 3 years of experience in troubleshooting, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and facilities maintenance.

    + HVAC/R, PM, and troubleshooting expertise.

    + Documenting and preventive maintenance skills.

    + Valid Driver's license and clean record.

    + Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification.

    + Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in mechanical maintenance or a construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

    + 2 years of experience with HVAC/R certification or 4 years without.

    + Shift flexibility.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a service technician role requiring travel between retail and distribution locations. A service van and tools are provided. Work involves navigating narrow, confined spaces and uneven surfaces. The role may involve exposure to varying temperatures, extreme conditions, and overnight shifts. Employees work at heights, including roofs and scaffolding, and in areas requiring special handling of substances. Flexibility in working shifts is essential.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $87000.00/yr.
