    Job Description

    The primary responsibility of the NPI Technician is to assemble, troubleshoot, and test complex electro-pneumatic and fluid control assemblies. This role involves close collaboration with the Engineering Department and the NPI Lead to determine optimal component layouts and assist in generating documentation for potential production orders. The technician will work from hand sketches, drawings, emails, or any communication form to achieve the desired end result. Additional tasks may be required as necessary.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble and troubleshoot high-level, complex electro-pneumatic and fluid control assemblies.

    + Collaborate with the Engineering Department and NPI Lead to determine the best layout for components.

    + Assist in documentation generation for potential production orders.

    + Work off hand sketches, drawings, emails, or other forms of communication.

    + Perform field service assembly at customer sites as required.

    + Support BES assembly in all new and existing high-level assemblies.

    + Deliver prototype assemblies in a timely manner.

    Essential Skills

    + High level of skill in the use of hand tools for assembling electro-pneumatic systems.

    + Experience in reading and interpreting electrical and pneumatic schematics.

    + Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

    + Good organizational, reading, and writing skills.

    + Proven customer service skills for interfacing with other departments and customers.

    + Education: Associate's degree or 3 years equivalent work experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

    + Experience with power tools and mechanical assembly.

    + Team player who is alert, motivated, and a good communicator.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes exposure to current weather conditions and the conditions in the production and test areas. The noise level is usually moderate. Working hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, ca.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
