Job Title: Process Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Process Technician to join our team for the 3rd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for addressing issues such as burns, splays, discolorations, and shorts on plastic extrusion equipment. You will also troubleshoot machines to adjust temperatures, material flow, and cycle times. We welcome candidates with some processing knowledge, including temperature requirements and plastic material understanding, and offer training on our smaller extrusion and plastic injection presses.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues related to burns, splays, discolorations, and shorts.

+ Adjust temperatures, material flow, and cycle times on plastic extrusion equipment.

+ Collaborate with a two-person team to produce additional parts for assembly at other locations.

+ Work 8-9 hour shifts, 5-6 days per week on average, including occasional weekends.

Essential Skills

+ 3 years of Plastic Injection Processing experience.

+ Ability to work up to 5-6 days per week.

+ 3 years of forklift and Hilo experience.

+ Experience with first piece troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of mold, extrusion, blow molding, and temperature controls.

+ Familiarity with plastic injection and troubleshooting processes.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean and modern manufacturing facility equipped with over 50 presses ranging from 1,500 to 4,000 tons, including around 20 injection molding presses such as dual profile rotary and two-shot injection presses. The facility is supported by 60-ton overhead cranes, ensuring a well-organized and efficient environment for all team members.

This is a Permanent position based out of LAKE ORION, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58000.00/yr.

30 days for benefits to start, good medical, dental, vision, short term life, 401k match

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in LAKE ORION,MI.
