    Job Title: Machine Operator Trainee - Mills

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Machine Operator Trainee in a dynamic environment focused on manufacturing stainless steel tubing. This role involves working with machinery to correct imperfections in tubing and requires manual labor, including moving and adjusting tubing to ensure proper machine setup. You'll learn the operation of machines and be responsible for processing work orders and entering data into our computer system.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in the operation and maintenance of machinery used in the manufacturing of stainless steel tubing.

    + Perform manual labor to adjust and move tubing as needed.

    + Process work orders and enter data into the computer system for subsequent manufacturing steps.

    + Learn and apply machine operating techniques to enhance production efficiency.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing role or a skilled trade such as plumbing or carpentry.

    + Ability to understand work orders and manufacturing processes.

    + Proficiency in using measurements and tools in daily tasks.

    + Capability to lift up to 50lbs and remain on feet throughout the workday.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with machine operation or mechanical manufacturing is preferred.

    + Knowledge of micrometers or calipers is advantageous.

    + Ability to explain work experience and machine operation in detail, as this will be part of the interview process.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a large, non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility, which can be loud and hot depending on the work area. The position is for the 2nd shift (2pm-12:30am) from Monday to Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays. Training will initially occur on the 1st shift (4am-2:30pm) for about a month.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.
