Environmental Engineer (Water Treatment & Remediation | Remote)

We’re hiring an experienced Environmental Engineer to lead and support the design and implementation of water treatment systems for remediation projects. This is a fully remote role with travel up to 25% for site assessments, client meetings, and system commissioning.
About the Role
You’ll contribute to the design of treatment systems targeting contaminants such as PFAS, VOCs, heavy metals, and other pollutants. The role includes drafting technical drawings, conducting site investigations, developing remedial strategies, and supporting field implementation. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design documents, cost estimates, and regulatory submittals.
Key Responsibilities
+ Design water treatment systems for environmental remediation
+ Draft engineering designs and technical drawings for treatment processes
+ Conduct site investigations and develop remedial strategies
+ Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and regulatory submittals
+ Support field implementation and troubleshooting of treatment systems
+ Travel up to 25% for site visits, client meetings, and commissioning
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering
+ 5+ years of experience in environmental investigation and remediation
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and ArcGIS
+ Experience designing and optimizing water treatment processes
+ Strong technical writing and communication skills
+ Experience supporting permit applications and developing cost estimates
Bonus Skills
+ Experience with groundwater, surface water, or stormwater modeling
+ Familiarity with custom remediation workflows and field troubleshooting

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $82000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
