    Job Title: Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will oversee the scheduling and planning of maintenance work across multiple production departments, including the Raw Materials Processing Center (Wastewater Treatment), Furnace and Baghouse, and Refining. This role is essential in ensuring that equipment, machinery, and processes are in optimal working order through the implementation of regular, preventative, predictive, and shutdown maintenance plans.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan, including regular, preventative, predictive, and shutdown maintenance.

    + Ensure continuous improvements in Preventive Maintenance and Scheduling.

    + Update the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to maintain data accuracy.

    + Plan daily maintenance work to ensure all equipment, machinery, and processes are functioning efficiently.

    + Maintain and ensure accuracy of the CMMS, updating as necessary.

    + Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations Supervisors to plan daily work.

    + Develop a maintenance plan for scheduling, execution, and follow-up of maintenance activities, working with the maintenance department, contractors, and vendors.

    + Issue and review work orders for CMMS, reviewing necessary parts and tools and providing detailed work instructions.

    + Plan labor for major downtimes.

    + Organize and maintain spare parts lists, manuals, and drawings.

    + Collaborate with team members on planning labor for all repair and maintenance projects.

    + Provide support to Maintenance Technicians as needed.

    + Manage backlog work effectively.

    + Use data and statistical problem-solving techniques to improve plant reliability and reduce unit costs.

    + Facilitate weekly meetings with the plant operations team.

    + Perform any other duties as requested by management.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

    + Minimum 3 years of technical proficiency with CMMS.

    + Proficiency in maintenance planning software and predictive maintenance.

    + Excellent mechanical skills and broad knowledge of maintenance concepts and techniques.

    + Proficient PC skills for accessing and maintaining information and communicating electronically.

    + Strong organizational and project management skills.

    + Ability to read, write, understand, and follow technical instructions and drawings.

    + Ability to read and understand blueprints.

    + Proven troubleshooting, problem-solving, evaluative, and analytical skills.

    + Excellent planning and directing skills.

    + Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

    + Strong understanding of workplace safety rules and regulations.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with MS Project is preferred.

    + Ability to work in a hot production area while wearing protective clothing, including a full-mask respirator, with or without reasonable accommodation.

    Work Environment

    This position requires working onsite Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM. The role includes spending approximately two hours per day in the plant production facility, which may involve working in hot conditions. Employees must be able to move about the plant and wear necessary protective equipment as required

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
