Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time (20 hours) Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves handling key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial operations, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting practices and a commitment to maintaining organizational financial integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account adjustments.

• Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.

• Administer the corporate credit card program, including reconciliations and expense tracking.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting workflows and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards.

• Support audits by providing documentation and resolving inquiries.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Proficiency in managing journal entries and general ledger activities.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes.

• Experience with account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

• Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and reports.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Familiarity with corporate credit card programs is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
