About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Mountain View, CA. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record of working with NetSuite and SAP systems. This position is crucial in supporting the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and actively contributing to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

+ Accounting Operations:

+ Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.

+ Maintain accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.

+ Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

+ Financial Reporting:

+ Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

+ Assist in monthly and quarterly variance analysis to provide insights into key financial trends and performance indicators.

+ Systems Expertise:

+ Use NetSuite and SAP for ERP system functions, including financial reporting, data entry, and troubleshooting.

+ Collaborate with the IT and Finance teams to improve system integrations, configurations, and automation efforts.

+ Audit & Compliance:

+ Oversee documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with SOX, GAAP, and company-specific regulations.

+ Support tax and compliance teams by providing accurate records and assistance as needed.

+ Process Improvement:

+ Identify opportunities for process optimization within the finance function.

+ Recommend and implement best practices for accounting systems and workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA certification is a plus.

+ Experience:

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a Senior Accountant or equivalent role.

+ Hands-on experience with both NetSuite and SAP systems is a must.

+ Familiarity with audit processes and SOX compliance is highly desirable.

+ Technical Skills:

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting.

+ Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and other financial tools.

+ Proven ability to manage, analyze, and reconcile complex accounts.

+ Soft Skills:

+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

+ Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

+ Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate successfully across departments.
