Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, supervising the accounting team, and supporting financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of GAAP, and a passion for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee general ledger accounting, month-end and year-end close processes.

+ Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

+ Manage and mentor a team of accountants and accounting clerks.

+ Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

+ Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.

+ Develop and implement internal controls and accounting policies.

+ Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

+ Support ERP system improvements and automation initiatives.

+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

+ Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
