The Associate Director - Portfolio Manager -Sponsored Leverage Finance is responsible for the management of a portfolio of commercial loans within the Corporate, Specialty and Government Banking division. Primary responsibilities include underwriting quality, portfolio monitoring and portfolio administration for an assigned portfolio. The Associate Director-PM will frequently collaborate with internal partners including Relationship Management, Credit Administration, Capital Markets, Treasury Management and other product partners in optimizing customer relationships. Please note: Preferred locations are Columbus, OH, Detroit, MI, Chicago, IL or Charlotte, NC.

Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Underwrite complex commercial loans in accordance with Huntington credit policies.

+ Monitor a portfolio of commercial loans, proactively identifying emerging risks and escalating concerns as appropriate, and maintaining accurate risk ratings.

+ Portfolio administration, including management of delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base and covenant compliance, product renewals, etc., as applicable.

+ As applicable, attend client calls (virtual or in-person) with Relationship Management and other Bank partners.

+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market/industry trends. Conduct industry and market research using numerous resources available.

+ Assist with training and/or mentoring Analyst & Associate level colleagues.

+ Review and negotiate credit documentation in consultation with legal counsel.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree required

+ 5 or more years of experience in an underwriting or commercial banking environment

+ 2 or more years of Sponsored or Leverage Finance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred

+ 3 or more years of Sponsored or Leverage Finance Portfolio Managment experience

+ High level of professionalism and attention to detail

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Microsoft Excel)

+ Formal credit training and/or complex commercial loan underwriting

+ Experience in the syndicated loan market

+ Proficiency in S&P Capital IQ

Compensation Range:

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position.
