    Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist

    Responsibilities

    + Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees and management.

    + Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues through effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

    + Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

    + Assist with the creation and delivery of Employee Engagement surveys, analyze responses, and partner with leadership to design action plans based on feedback.

    + Identify, plan, and coordinate employee engagement events both in-person and virtually.

    + Manage internal changes and complaints regarding workplace harassment, conducting necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.

    + Maintain employee personnel records.

    + Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.

    + Oversee involuntary separation processes.

    + Respond to unemployment insurance claims and participate in hearings as necessary.

    + Coordinate performance management and improvement systems.

    + Respond to HR-related inquiries.

    + Administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, and training and development.

    + Suggest new procedures and policies to improve HR department efficiency and the employees’ experience.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.

    + 3-5 years of human resources experience.

    + Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.

    + PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

    + Experience with Workday preferred.

    + Experience with HR ticketing systems preferred.

    + Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field.

    + Understanding of state and federal employment regulations.

    + Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with I9s is nice to have.

    + Systems experience with Workday and transitioning to Paylocity is an advantage but not required as training will be provided.

    Work Environment

    The role is primarily remote with one required in-office day on Tuesdays. Standard work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will report to the HRBP Supervisor, with a team based in Omaha. The team consists of four members.     The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $73000.00/yr.
