    Job Title: Senior Accountant

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the financial integrity of our organization by ensuring accurate and timely monthly closings, preparing financial reports, and maintaining compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing of financial books, reviewing and documenting variances for management.

    + Make manual journal entries in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

    + Review and post journal entries appropriately.

    + Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts monthly, researching and resolving variances promptly.

    + Respond to email and phone inquiries from internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner.

    + Collaborate with Operations and Sales departments to ensure smooth month-end closings and regular preplanning.

    + Support internal and external audits as required.

    + Initiate automation of manual processes when appropriate, including special projects and system implementations.

    + Participate in team events to foster a cohesive team spirit.

    + Operate responsibly and comply with company policies at all times.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of accounting experience

    + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

    + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

    + Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end processes

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + CPA certification preferred

    + Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus

    Work Environment

    You will work alongside another Senior Accountant, providing backup for Accounts Receivable. The role begins with on-site work during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, and will transition to a hybrid model where most accounting department employees work two days a week from home. The office maintains a business casual dress code.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $45.00/hr.
