    Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROJECT ZONE COORDINATOR in the Norfolk Ship Support Activity (NSSA), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), Production Department (Code 900), of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Responsibilities You will coordinate the execution of technical work across multiple skilled trades (e.g., machinists, pipefitters, electricians) and modify the work plan to integrate with systems and work in other zones, including ships force work. You will identify and resolve changing work situations which result in conflicts with the work schedule due to sequence, space, mutually exclusive work, material, growth work, and other considerations. You will utilize shipboard maintenance systems, such as ERPs, to track work progress, document completions, and manage resources. You will lead execution efforts during ship availabilities, including managing emergent work, integrating revisions to work packages, and mitigating delays through real-time problem-solving. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. You will evaluate the work performance of subordinates; give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters; interview candidates for positions in the unit. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying a range of principles, concepts and practices, production trade and technical methods, procedures, materials and processes associated with the repair and overhaul of complex Navy vessels. Experience in project management, quality control, cost control, schedule control, and workflow control techniques. Experience and specialized knowledge of one or more of these disciplines piping/insulating practices; electrical/electronic practices and operations; rigging practices and operations; structural shipfitting and sheet metal practices and operations to coordinate trades workers. Experience and ability to investigate and analyze practices, and problems to initiate effective improvements and solutions.
