Description:

The Retail Labor Specialists will understand the systems used to support labor scheduling to provide analysis and advice to retail leadership on how to optimize store scheduling and performance which includes:

+ identifying opportunities related to scheduling, labor forecasting and retail operations through existing reports and store performance,

+ solving labor scheduling problems for retail and recommending system changes as needed,

+ providing support for reporting and analysis on KPIs used to measure labor effectiveness,

+ advising and training retail leadership including store, district and regional management on scheduling and productivity best practices and

+ serving as the retail scheduling and forecasting expert for cross-functional projects as assigned.

Year End Bonus:

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications:

+ 5+ years as a Publix retail associate and 1+ years of Publix experience at department manager level or higher

+ Bachelor of Science degree in an analytical field or equivalent experience

+ Specific knowledge of retail policies and procedures, products, equipment, and systems

+ Working knowledge of the Publix’ business goals, strategies and key performance indicators KPIs

+ Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook

+ Intermediate knowledge of Oasis

+ Willingness to travel overnight and for extended periods of time

+ Willing to work a variable workweek schedule, which may include working occasional nights and/or weekends and holidays

+ Willing to work a minimum of 45 hours per week

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 1+ years of Publix experience at assistant store manager level

+ Master's degree in Business Administration or other analytical discipline

+ Knowledge of Publix data sources

+ Knowledge of Data Mining tools and techniques
