    The Gift Operations team plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the donation process for all gifts raised by Philanthropy. The team is responsible for recording gift revenue transactions, ensuring accuracy and allocating funds according to donor wishes, and in compliance with legal and ethical standards. In support of donor stewardship efforts, the Gift Operations team generates reports and provides timely information, ensuring gift revenue transactions are handled with expediency and accuracy.

     

    As an important member of the Philanthropy Gift Operations team, the Associate Financial Analyst performs quality assurance of philanthropic gift transactions and gift acknowledgement. This position fosters a culture of reliability, safety, and continuous improvement by developing and implementing detailed quality assurance processes across multiple data systems, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all philanthropic gift transactions are acknowledged accurately and in a timely manner. The analyst should demonstrate knowledge of philanthropic giving and possess strong oral and written communication skills.

     

    *KEY FUNCTIONS*

    *Quality Assurance of Gift Transactions (80%)*

     

    Foster a culture of reliability, safety, and continuous improvement by developing and implementing detailed and varying quality assurance processes for all philanthropic gift transactions, ensuring accuracy of data entry and timely acknowledgement. Demonstrate effective communication across Gift Operations team to resolve discrepancies quickly and effectively. Maintain integrity of gift documentation in OnBase and donor database. Triage donor questions or requests related to gift acknowledgements.

     

    *Data Analysis (15%)*

     

    Analyze gift data and determine correct method for acknowledgement letters based on donor preferences, internal/external stakeholder request or gift level. Monitor quality assurance data for trends or patterns, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.

     

    *Program Analysis (5%)*

     

    Partner with workstream lead and Manager, Finance (Gift Operations) to assess effectiveness of quality assurance processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with gift acknowledgement best practices and legal requirements.

     

    *EDUCATION*

     

    Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related business specialty.

     

    Preferred: Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related degree.

     

    *EXPERIENCE*

     

    None. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

     

    Preferred: One year of gift acknowledgement related experience obtained in a philanthropy operation.

     

    This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
