We are currently seeking a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to support operations in Lakehurst, NJ. This is a full-time position requiring an active DoD Secret clearance.
What You’ll Do
+ Cybersecurity Support: Provide expert support for DOD ALRE/SE systems, networks, and IT infrastructure, including hardware, firmware, and software, ensuring adherence to security protocols and best practices.
+ Policy Implementation: Implement and enforce DOD and Navy information assurance and cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard classified and unclassified information systems. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate risks associated with cyber threats.
+ Risk and Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of system and software vulnerabilities. Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential risks and develop appropriate strategies to mitigate cybersecurity threats.
+ Cyber Strategy Development: Design and implement robust cybersecurity strategies to enhance system resilience and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define connectivity, integration, and interface requirements for secure system operations.
+ Documentation and Support Packages: Prepare detailed cyber support documentation, including system security plans (SSPs), risk management frameworks (RMF) packages, and certification and accreditation (C&A) activities. Ensure all cybersecurity-related documentation is accurate, up to date, and compliant with DOD requirements.
+ Certification and Accreditation: Support system certification and accreditation processes by conducting required tests, evaluations, and analyses. Provide recommendations for system improvements and work with stakeholders to ensure systems meet DOD security standards.
+ Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Plan, implement, and continuously monitor security measures to protect computer networks, information systems, and sensitive data from unauthorized access, cyber-attacks, or other vulnerabilities. Respond quickly to security incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary.
+ Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry trends. Apply knowledge to enhance existing security measures, recommend upgrades, and ensure system integrity in a constantly evolving cybersecurity landscape.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications:
+ Education & Experience:
+ BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, or related scientific/technical discipline with 3 – 10 years of experience
+ Certifications:
+ Must have a current and active DoD Secret security clearance.
+ Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies
Travel & Passport
+ Some overnight stays possible.
Work Environment
+ Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles as per Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil.
Office setting:
+ Primarily an office-based role in Lakehurst, NJ
+ Standard desk/computer work with flexibility for walking and movement on site
+ Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
+ Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
+ May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
Background & Security
+ Employment is contingent upon successful background investigation
+ Drug screening may be required for federal contract compliance
