    SPECIAL NOTES:

    A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

    Requirement:

    + One (1) year of experience delivering professional instruction.

    Additional preferences:

    + Two (2) or more years of experience working with an accounting system (e.g., FLAIR, Florida PALM).

    + Two (2) or more years of professional accounting or auditing experience, to include knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

    + Two (2) or more years of experience with contract management.

    + One (1) year of experience working with Learning Management Systems.

    + Experience conducting training in various delivery methods.

     

    The selected candidatem ust be able to move computer equipment, phones, tables, and chairs to accommodate different training events with or without accommodation.

     

    This position requires a security background check, including fingerprints, as a condition of employment.

     

    The anticipated starting salary for this position is $60,000.00.

     

    Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

    Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    + Competent public speaking skills.

    + Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication.

    + Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of training or instruction.

    + Ability to prepare a variety of written training materials such as lesson plans, curricula, performance evaluations or reports.

    + Effective training skills in various delivery methods.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Project management experience.

    + Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.

    + Ability to effectively work independently with little supervision.

    + Ability to work within a team environment.

    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

    The Department of Financial Services, Division of Accounting and Auditing is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join the Office of Florida Financial Education. In this role, you'll be a key resource, helping state agencies learn complex accounting systems and financial best practices. Your work will have a direct impact on the efficiency of government operations across the state.

    In this role, you will:

    + Empower professionals: Serve as a subject matter expert, teaching agencies how to navigate state accounting systems and implement best practices for contract and grant management.

    + Analyze and refine: Use needs assessments, surveys, and data to uncover training gaps and continuously improve our educational programs.

    + Provide expert support: Be a first point of contact for accounting personnel across the state, offering timely and accurate solutions via email and phone.

    + Shape the future of training: Assist with the development and maintenance of our Learning Management System (LMS), providing a seamless learning experience for all users.

    + Join a team where your expertise makes a tangible difference in public service.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.
