Patient Access Coordinator –
Are you the kind of person who thrives in organized chaos, loves helping people, and can juggle patient flow, paperwork, and phone calls—all before your second cup of coffee? Then you'd feel right at home as a** **Patient Access Coordinator** **!
In this role, you're the behind-the-scenes hero keeping everything running smoothly—from check-in to insurance verification, and all the way to getting patients where they need to be (on time, every time). You're part traffic controller, part detective (hello, prior authorizations), and part customer service superstar. You're not just doing the work—you’re making it better, helping to improve systems and support a team that relies on you daily.
Oh, and you’re not afraid of a little paperwork (okay, a lot), love solving problems, and can keep your cool when things get hectic. Plus, you speak fluent “insurance,” know how to keep patients calm and informed, and have no problem making complex things sound simple. Bonus points if you can do all of that _en español_ !
What You Bring to the Table
• A high school diploma or equivalent (and a degree in multitasking from the school of real life)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in patient contact, hospital finance, or insurance
• Previous success as a Patient Access Rep II or Scheduling Rep II
• Clear, kind, and effective communicator—whether it’s face-to-face, over the phone, or through email
• A detail-lover with a knack for staying organized and calm under pressure
• Able to read between the lines (and legal documents), ask the right questions, and find smart solutions fast
• Proficient in navigating sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
Extra Credit (a.k.a. Preferred Skills)
You’ve tackled insurance verification and authorization before and lived to tell the tale
You know your way around medical terms (and maybe even how to spell them!)
You can speak Spanish—or you’re working on it!
