Duties/Responsibilities:

+ All tools and equipment to be used in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations

+ Reads and interprets material and cut list information

+ Ensures quality parts and materials produced through machinery

+ Navigates machinery interface effectively

+ Troubleshoots machinery issues, identifies root cause, and retains corrective action knowledge

+ Supports all additional tasks directed by the production manager

+ Performs daily operator checklist of machinery

+ Executes lumber cutting, framing, nailing, and routing timely and in the sequence required by production

+ Sorts and organizes scrap material generated from machinery

+ Effectively communicates mechanical breaks, errors, and down time to production management and maintenance staff

+ Safely and effectively operates computer-aided systems

+ Learns and understands necessary computer programs to perform job related tasks

+ Adheres to PPE and safety requirements of the production facility

Required Skills/Abilities:

+ Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.

+ Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.

+ Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable safety regulations.

+ Ability to read, count and write

Education and Experience:

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

+ At least one year of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

+ Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, stooping and climbing.

+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

+ Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
