    Summary

    STP’s Corporate Communications Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to work in a professional corporate communications environment, gaining experience in public relations, internal communications, media relations, and marketing. The program is designed to help students develop practical skills while contributing to the company's communication strategies and brand initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    The intern will assist the Corporate Communications team with various communication tasks and projects.

    Responsibilities will include:

    Assisting in the creation and distribution of press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials.

     

    Helping manages social media accounts and creating content for online platforms.

     

    Supporting internal communications efforts, including employee announcements and newsletters.

     

    Assisting with event planning, media outreach, and public relations campaigns.

     

    Collecting and analyzing media coverage and tracking communication metrics.

     

    Supporting crisis communication planning and execution.

    Requirements

    Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to South Texas Project Electric Generating Station.

     
     

    Currently enrolled in a 4-year institution and pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

     

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

     

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

     

    Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.

     

    Must be in good academic standing with your school.
