    Summary

    STP's HR Internship Program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of human resources practices in a dynamic corporate environment. Interns will gain hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, training, and HR operations. The program is aimed at developing the next generation of HR professionals and offering valuable learning opportunities that enhance academic coursework with practical experience.

    Responsibilities

    The intern will work closely with HR professionals on a variety of HR-related projects and tasks.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Assisting with recruitment efforts, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating job fairs or career events.

    • Helping manages and update employee records and HR databases.

    • Assisting with employee onboarding and training programs.

    • Contributing to employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and recognition programs.

    • Assisting with performance management processes, including preparing evaluation reports.

    • Helping with HR compliance efforts by ensuring that all documentation adheres to legal and company standards.

    Requirements

    • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to South Texas Project Electric Generating Station.

    • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

    • Currently enrolled in a 4-year institution and pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

    • Must be in good academic standing with your school.
