Summary This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA EII/ENTRPRS INTEGR AND INNOV. Responsibilities Coordinates with Agency Record Officer to develop, maintain, and implement agency policy and procedures for records storage, retrieval, and dissemination. Coordinates with organizational information management subject matter experts and records liaisons to ensure programs are fully cognizant of and integrated with technology advancements and information architecture strategies. Develops Agency Records Disposition Schedule to provide guidance to ensure all pertinent records are properly safeguarded, maintained or marked for designated disposition Provides training to all personnel who are responsible for creating, accumulating, or maintaining records, including training for senior officials, files personnel, and records management coordinators. Performs periodic Record Management studies, projects and survey assessments for the purpose of gathering and analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of all aspects of the agency's Records Management program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Possessing knowledge of Records Management concepts, technologies, methodologies, processes, techniques, and best practices. Demonstrating broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, particularly advances in Records Management, as well as exhibiting expert knowledge of training and instructional processes. Knowing important management processes involved in the life cycle of records, to include the following: managing reports and directives; using filing and retrieval systems; developing records schedules; conducting records appraisals. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment. This appointment does not confer eligibility to be non-competitively converted to an appointment in the competitive service. A three year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service.
