    Description

    **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Marine Pipefitters** for projects located in **Freeland, WA.** This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate **up to $35/hr** based on experience and skill level plus **$164/per** **diem** for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Marine Pipefitter eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career!

    Job Scope:

    + Layout

    + Preparation

    + Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings and schematics

    + Working with piping systems, fuel, ballast, cooling, water, fire and main hydraulics etc..

    + Plan and lay out pipe systems, routes and supports

    + Select and prepare materials, fittings and tools

    + Fabrication, assembly, cut, bend, thread, bevel and prepare pipe sections

    + Fit and assemble pipes, valves, flanges, brackets and hangers

    + Install and align pumps, valves and machinery connections

    + Use tack welding or brazing where permitted

    + Install and secure piping systems within ship compartments, machinery spaces and deck areas

    + Ensure piping runs

    + Maintain required clearances, accessibility and safety standards

    + Install supports, insulation and penetrations through bulkheads and decks

    + Testing, inspecting conduct, hydrostatic, pneumatic and operational testing of installed piping systems

    + Inspect joints, welds and fittings for leaks and compliance

    + Verify systems meet classification, society, NAVY, Coast Guard or shipyard requirements

    + Maintenance, repair, remove, modify or replace damaged or obsolete piping systems

    + Perform hot and cold work

    + Work in confined spaces

    Requirements

    + Adhere to standards such as ABS and OSHA regulations

    + Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Marine Pipefitter
