    Join Our Patient-Centered Oncology Team at the Webber Cancer Center. We are seeking a compassionate and safety-conscious Radiation Therapist to join our dynamic and collaborative oncology department. Our ideal candidate is a dedicated professional who prioritizes quality care, works effectively in a team environment, and values strong communication with both patients and colleagues.

    + Work with cutting-edge technology, including:

    + GE CT Scanner

    + Two Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerators, one with Identify™ surface guidance

    + Collaborate closely with a dedicated team including three Radiation Oncologists

    + Deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatments with precision and compassion

    + Ensure patient safety through accurate setup, verification, and equipment operation

    + Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, physicists, dosimetrists, and fellow therapists

    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    Administers radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation.

    Responsibilities:

    + Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic parameters accurately.

    + Delivers appropriate patient treatment plan in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist.

    + Maintains detailed records of all therapy sessions.

    + Maintains and adjusts necessary equipment, including linear accelerator.

    + Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

    + Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

    + Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

    + Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    + Bachelor's Degree required- Master's Degree preferred

    + Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy

    + Varian/ARIA experienced preferred

    CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:

    One or more of the following required:

    + Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. -

    + Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. -

    + Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. -

    + BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

    + ARRT Credentialed
