    Job Summary:

    The Junior Vehicle Data Specialist supports our Lexus business as a conduit of product information and an assistant manager of vehicle CAD data processes and procedures. You’ll partner with internal production and creative teams as well as trusted production partners. Familiarity with the CG space is essential; you’ll help the team drive innovation by ensuring accurate, secure, and timely vehicle data flows. You will prepare model vehicle data to the security standards established by the brand and help implement processes to ensure all security protocols are followed across productions.

     

    As a Junior Vehicle Data Specialist, you’ll be a trusted member of our team, reporting to the Vehicle Data Lead, helping implement data processing and preparation solutions that streamline production. You will support the organization and distribution of the client’s vehicle wireframe data, occasionally join client-facing discussions with senior support, and act as an internal resource on product information and its future state. You will prepare model vehicle data to Brand security standards and help facilitate systems and processes to ensure compliance across productions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Data Deliveries & Stakeholder Support

    + Maintain shared data workspaces; perform basic QA to keep data timely, accurate, and current.

    + Coordinate with leads on delivery schedules under supervision; follow up on questions and identified data gaps.

    + Adhere to strict data security protocols across all handoffs and repositories; promptly flag any deviations.

    + Follow documented data security checklists for all handoffs and repositories; escalate any issues promptly.

    Data Management & Governance

    + Assist in organizing historical Lexus data on the T1 Server using established naming and folder conventions.

    + Log deliveries and track change scopes (major/minor), Garage status (traditional), Prep status (Unreal), and component updates to keep the product source of truth current.

    + Maintain an internal, living summary for production, product, and account teams; capture meeting notes and action items.

     

    Support Production in keeping milestones and MYCO dates current; help Product maintain the model change log.

    Internal & Vendor Requests

    + Intake and validate data requests using the standardized process; ensure required info is complete before routing.

    + Maintain a requests tracker (what/when/by whom) and file MSAs with Business Affairs; reference the approved-vendor list.

    + Prepare data packages for hand-off.

    Data Preparation & Configuration

    + Build working knowledge of models, components, packages, and options.

    + Ingest updates from GDE, preserve “originals,” and run basic deltas to identify MYCO changes; escalate anomalies.

    + Apply updates to valid configurations per vehicle model year with guidance from senior staff.

    + Maintain a master configurator (Excel) aligned to model codes, packages, options, rules, conflicts, and dependencies.

    + Keep part groups updated as product information evolves so productions use the latest data.

    + Ensure part components are accurate by model, model code, package, and option.

    + Prepare 3D data for use throughout the 3D pipeline, including UVing meshes, creating and assigning materials, importing and exporting data, and altering meshes for modularity.

    Product Partnership

    + Attend weekly product meetings; capture notes, update readiness boards, and follow up on action items.

    + Support Data Ingest reviews and provide ad-hoc help answering model/data questions.

    Cross-Team Collaboration

    + Publish small process updates (SOPs, checklists) to streamline production workflows.

    + Build rapport with production and account teams to become a reliable go-to for data requests.

    + Collaborate with digital creative teams by supplying accurate data that informs CG asset needs.

    Skills and Qualifications

    + 0–2 years in data operations, product data, or a related role.

    + Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivots) and comfort working with large, structured datasets.

    + Familiarity with metadata standards, naming conventions, and basic versioning hygiene.

    + Clear written communication, strong organization, and meticulous attention to detail.

    + Ability to follow SOPs, manage checklists, and escalate risks when needed.

    + Awareness of data security best practices.

    Preferred Skills

    + Exposure to automotive product data, configurators, or complex option/rule management.

    + Familiarity with Unreal/CG data prep and production pipelines.

    + Hands-on experience with collaboration/tracking tools (e.g., Confluence/Jira) and version control (e.g., Perforce or Git).

    + Exposure to DCC packages such as Autodesk Maya, Alias, 3DS Max, CATIA, and VRED.

    Compensation Range: $72,390.00 - $104,720.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
