    Description

    SAIC is hiring a **Field Systems Engineer with a Secret clearance** to join our IMDC2 team in **Arlington, VA** . We are seeking a dedicated and experienced counter unmanned aircraft system (cUAS) Field Systems Engineer (FSE). This role involves providing onsite maintenance, vendor support, future capabilities planning, system updates, and system/software troubleshooting and repair.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Provide daily operation reports of the system as required by the customer.

    + Provide FSE support as requested by the customer.

    + Understand and apply mission planning concepts.

    + Analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software, and Windows operating systems.

    + Knowledge of networking hardware/software over classified and unclassified government networks.

    + Understand mission planning system functions and external interfaces, including setup and teardown procedures.

    + Manage GFE inventory pertaining the cUAS system.

    + Update system and program documentation as required by the customer.

    + Work independently, identifying and analyzing important factors and conditions to anticipate customer needs.

    + Decide on the appropriate course of action based on analyses of subjects and issues related to assignments.

    + Collaborate with customer or internal functional organization to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate system performance.

    Qualifications

    **REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE** :

    + Bachelor's degree and five (5) years relevant experience; Master's degree and three (3) or more years of experience.

    + 10 additional years' experience can be accepted in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).

    REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

    + Secret clearance required to start.

    + U.S. citizenship required.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Rail Vehicle Engineering.

    + Systems Engineering.

    + Pulsed Power Systems.

    + RF sources.

    + System Integration and Testing.

    + Rapid Prototyping.

    + CNC Machining.

    + Data Analysis.

    + Minimum of 4 years’ experience in cUAS.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
