Responsibilities
The Senior Operations Manager will lead all aspects of manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. .
Responsibilities
+ **Production Oversight:** Ensure production goals are met for volume, quality, safety, and efficiency
+ **Workforce Planning:** Manage capacity planning, scheduling, overtime, and vacation planning for personnel.
+ **Team Leadership & Development:** Supervise, coach, and develop production line supervisors and hourly teammates, while providing performance feedback and reviews.
+ **Safety & Compliance:** Maintain a culture of safety. Ensure team compliance with OSHA, FDA (if applicable), and internal safety protocols.
+ **Quality Assurance:** Partner with QA and Engineering teams to ensure products meet all specifications and customer expectations.
+ **Process Improvement: ** Lead or participate in Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma initiatives
+ **Reporting & Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of performance, downtime, inventory movement, and other key metrics. Update procedures (as necessary).
Qualifications
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience (required); Advance degree preferred.
+ 10+ years in a production/manufacturing environment, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or management role.
+ Experience with regulated industries (e.g., medical device, food, pharma) is highly desirable.
+ Experience working in a Controlled Environment Area (CEA) – ISO Class 8.
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and Lean tools
+ Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
+ Able to effectively collaborate with other shift teammates and cross-functional groups.
+ Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to make quick decisions independently
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (including MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
+ Experience with ERP/MES systems a plus
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to be on the production floor for extended periods
+ May be required to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally (as needed)
+ Tolerate a fast-paced environment with temperature variation and noise
+ Work involves potential exposure to chemicals
Pay / Compensation
The expected pre-tax pay rate for this position is $139,700 – $200,200. Actual pay may fluctuate outside of the listed range depending on skills, education, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
