    Position Summary:

    The Senior Associate Director of Communications oversees the planning, execution, and improvement of recruitment marketing, branding, and strategic enrollment management process in support of university-wide enrollment goals. This position will strategize, plan, and execute communication efforts to support enrollment goals. The Senior Associate Director contributes to the areas of researching, conceptualizing, producing, publishing, and measuring the effectiveness of communications strategies and plans. A successful Senior Associate Director will be analytical, detail-oriented, data-savvy, and have a strong background in social media use and analytics.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    People and Vendor Management: 40%

     

    + Manage the Enrollment Management communications team – Digital Advertising Specialist, Lead Designer, and the Admissions Marketing Coordinator for Community Engagement

    + Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external teams and vendors (including television) alongside the Digital Advertising Specialist.

    + Oversee and the yearlong KAIT8 Scholarship Trade program and the advertising associated with it.

    + Collaborate with departmental communicators to ensure messaging is in-line with University and Departmental initiatives.

    + Oversee the Lead Designer to produce physical marketing materials and physical mail.

     

    CRM Management: 30%

     

    + Manage and develop CRM communications for recruitment and yielding purposes.

    + Audit current unit communication efforts and research and suggest new strategies to better meet unit goals.

    + Oversee digital decision letters in collaboration with the Admissions Processing team.

     

    Digital Advertising & Marketing: 30%

     

    + Collaborate with EM on marketing campaigns to ensure proper communication and awareness of initiatives.

    + Work alongside Budget Coordinator and Digital Advertising Specialist to ensure projects stay within budget, and that procurement and purchasing procedures are accurately adhered to.

    + Conceptualize marketing campaigns to successfully recruit and retain prospective students including slogan creation, hashtag theory, and directing the overall flow and messaging of these campaigns.

    + Confidently pitch concepts to internal leadership and external departments and develop creative content ideas that align with objectives

    + Collect and analyze data, generate reports, review and explain trends, and evaluate alternative solutions.

    + Collaborate with Printing Services to ensure accurate production and delivery of physical mail and materials

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    Experience in a corporate communications environment or prior experience at a higher education institution is preferred.

     

    Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

     

    Project management background and ability to oversee a project from idea generation to implementation with input from a variety of stakeholders.

     

    Previous experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) software – preferably Technolutions Slate.

     

    Previous experience with Social Media Advertising Platforms is preferred.

     

    Previous experience with Meta Business Suite preferred.

    General Days/Hours:

    Monday-Friday

    8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    An earned Bachelor’s Degree in a related area

     

    Three (3) years experience
