    Supervisor of PK-4 The Supervisor of PK-4 is responsible for assisting with the operations of the following programs as directed by the Director of Early Childhood, Autism, and Itinerant Services: Special Education at BOCES-owned/operated campuses, as assigned Special projects related to Special EducationEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the BOCES liaison with school district staff to integrate students and programs into the district environment and culture Supervise and evaluate staff as assigned, Ensure IEPs are implemented at all locations Promote student compliance with the Code of Conduct to assure a safe and conducive learning environment Implement a progressive and proactive behavioral referral process Partner with component districts to assist in the placement of students Recommend components of behavioral management plans to administrative and teaching staff consistent with the needs of students Assist in coordinating the work of staff to develop and implement instructional programs and teaching practices Co-plan and co-supervise the Special Education Extended School Year program in collaboration with the Supervisor of WEB programs Assist in the development and monitoring of program budgets for conducting effective programs Assist in the administration of exams and monitor compliance with all State regulations around these exams Facilitate meetings, including regular faculty meetings Encourage parental involvement in students’ education and ensure communication with students and parents Maintain a positive relationship with component districts, parents, and the community Provide an open line of communication with all stakeholder groups Monitor staff/student data and prepare reports as requested Support the maintenance of staff, student, and school records and reports using SchoolTool and related database systems Perform additional duties as assigned Note: The above description is illustrative of duties and responsibilities.
