We are looking for a highly skilled, self-motivated Electrical Engineer 1, Digital Design to help architect the design of our next generation products.
Collins Aerospace Vision Systems Electrical Engineering is responsible for all electrical engineering tasks related to the design, analysis, test and certification of aerospace head-up and helmet-mounted display and guidance products, for both commercial and military applications. This position requires a degree in Electrical or Computer engineering. Some experience in Circuit design, FPGA design, or verification is a benefit but not a requirement.
This position will be included in mentoring and work assignments in analysis, design, test, integration and troubleshooting of complex electronic hardware systems, beginning with requirements definition up and through the introduction of the design into manufacturing.
The engineer will be given tasks related to a development program and will provide engineering support, including task execution, performance toward milestones, reporting of status on assigned tasks and interaction with team members from electrical engineering as well as other disciplines. This position will work with supervision and mentoring from other members of the electrical engineering team. This role is onsite, in Wilsonville, OR. This role may be eligible for relocation.
What **You** Will Do:
+ You will design electronic circuits for commercial and military Head Up & Helmet Mounted Displays and avionics sensors
+ You will define electrical requirements for new designs and develop detailed performance specifications.
+ You will perform preliminary design activities-including block diagrams, trade off studies and design reviews.
+ You will perform detailed design activities - including schematic capture, design analysis, prototype tests, and design reviews.
+ You will perform technical oversight and coordination of Printed Circuit Board designs.
+ Perform functional tests and design verification tests.
+ You will support electrical qualification tests and develop equipment to support integration tests.
What **You** Will Learn:
+ You will gain knowledge of aircraft vision systems including video display and camera systems.
+ You will gain knowledge of the avionics certification process for commercial and military applications.
+ You will receive daily mentoring from electrical engineers designing avionics.
Qualifications **You** Must Have:
+ Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
+ U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62 .
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
+ Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent degree.

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
