    Overview

     

    Kimley-Horn is seeking a dynamic and driven Transportation Engineer/Planner to join our Santa Clarita office. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of projects across different counties. Our ideal candidate is a problem solver who can take on projects and run with them while maintaining exceptional client service and mentoring younger staff.

    Responsibilities

    + **Traffic Engineering & Signal Operations:** Manage traffic signal timing, operations, and design.

    + **Traffic & ITS Design:** Involve in traditional traffic design and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects.

    + **Planning & Safety:** Conduct corridor planning, complete streets projects with a focus on safety, including active transportation plans, and bike and pedestrian design.

    + **Project Diversity:** Engage in a broad range of projects to avoid specialization in one area and to ensure involvement in capital improvement projects.

    Qualifications

    + 6+ years of experience in transportation engineering or related field.

    + Holds California Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.

    + Proven experience in traffic engineering, planning, and design with the ability to manage complex projects.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.

    + Ability to win work, be client-facing, and pursue new opportunities.

    + Experience in mentoring and developing junior staff.

    + Strong technical skills in transportation engineering and planning.

    Salary Range:

    $115,000 - $150,000
