Job Summary:
Micron is looking for a highly motivated Diffusion and Implant Shift Process Technician to drive improvements in process quality, yield, efficiency, and cost reduction. This role is key to resolving production line issues and achieving area KPIs to improve process quality. The technician will collaborate closely with equipment teams, area leaders, shift leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of critical priorities. Responsibilities:
+ Complete all required safety training and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
+ Ensure accurate documentation of tools and reaction mechanisms; escalate when updates or corrections are needed.
+ Support area operations to meet throughput targets and maintain production efficiency.
+ Identify and urgently resolve or escalate issues that may lead to yield loss, excursions, defects, equipment restrictions, or output loss.
+ Monitor and analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) data daily; collaborate with Process Owners to address recurring SPC failures.
+ Apply engineering knowledge and data analysis tools to make informed, critical decisions regarding process performance.
+ Apply skills in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Excel) to efficiently complete tasks.
+ Demonstrates effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and communicate clearly across teams.
Minimum** **Q** **ualifications:
+ Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field.
+ Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), progress between day and night shifts every 4 months, and adapt to different shifts and overtime as needed to support business operations.
+ Possesses an intermediate-level understanding of reaction kinetics, particularly in the context of inorganic chemistry.
+ Demonstrates a foundational grasp of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics concepts.
+ Intermediate-level understanding of statistics and an ability to make informed decisions using statistical data.
Preferred** **Q** **ualifications:
+ Prior experience in semiconductor fabrication process areas, with direct hands-on involvement in operating and maintaining process-specific equipment and supporting systems.
+ 2+ year’s experience working with data science and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
