The Program Coordinator duties are organizing, coordinating, and planning operational facets of a program and its related activities which include, but are not limited to the following: establishing long-term operational objectives, researching factors that may impact the success of the program, and working with individuals or groups to research and document program requirements in order to provide appropriate input into the development of strategic plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Develops work plans to accomplish program goals and objectives and monitors progress toward their achievement.
+ Conducts research and gathers information to develop various publications.
+ Develops promotional materials which may include content for reports, briefings, newsletters, grants or other written information related to the program.
+ Assists in developing and coordinating program-related conferences, conventions, or meetings.
+ Monitors expenditures and may participate in the budget planning process and prepare financial reports.
+ May assist in identifying funding resources and developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives.
+ Prepares operational and statistical reports.
+ Conducts training, represents the program at meetings and conferences, and networks with affiliated groups. May supervise assigned project staff, interns and/or volunteers.
+ Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program.
+ Two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
Essential Functions of the Position:
Direct Student Service and Program Management (65%)
+ Oversee and manage a specific area of programming content (e.g., student organizations and events, leadership education and development, orientation and transition programs, etc.)
+ Manage logistics, budget, and vendor relationships associated with programs
+ Provide developmental advising to student leaders and manage collaborations with individual students and student organizations
+ Liaison between offices within Campus Life to create collaborative partnerships, open communication, and enhance student offerings.
Budget Management (10%)
+ Oversee and manage a department programming budget.
Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement (10%)
+ Evaluate the success and/or impact of events and programs.
+ Maintain required records and documentation to support reporting and assessment.
Student Engagement & Support (10%)
+ Provide informal counseling and support to students on an ongoing basis.
+ Serve as a resource and mentor to students navigating leadership roles and involvement.
Institutional Engagement & Administrative Responsibilities (5%)
+ Attend bi-weekly staff meetings and monthly Campus Life meetings.
+ Participate in consistent 1-on-1 meetings with supervisor.
+ Serve on departmental, divisional, or university committees or task forces as requested.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
