    Department: UCHlth Human Resource Administ

     

    FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

     

    Shift: Days

     

    Pay: $52.33 - $83.73 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

    Requirements:

    + Bachelor's degree in related field.

    + 5 years of relevant experience.

    + Preferred: 3 years of experience managing people. 3 years of experience with HR Compliance, employment law or employee relations.

    Summary:

    Manages the daily operations of the HR Compliance function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Oversight & Leadership

     

    + In collaboration with the Director, Compliance, lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's HR compliance framework.

    + Serve as an advisor to leadership on compliance risks, mitigation strategies, and regulatory trends

    + Lead and develop a high-performing HR compliance team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management. Foster professional development and ensure alignment with UCHealth's values and performance expectations

    + Champion a culture of integrity, ethics, and accountability across all levels of the organization

     

    Policy Development & Governance

     

    + Develop, revise, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with federal, state, and local laws

    + Maintain documentation in systems like PolicyStat and ensure accessibility and clarity for all stakeholders

     

    Advisory & Support

     

    + Serve as subject matter expert on HR compliance issues, providing guidance to HR business partners, leaders, and staff

    + Design and deliver compliance training programs tailored to various roles (e.g., managers, recruiters, frontline staff)

    + Monitor and lead awareness campaigns around key compliance topics and changes to employment laws such as ADA, FMLA, EEOC, HIPAA, and Workers' Compensation

    + Partner with HR Business Partners to guide leaders on corrective actions, terminations, and performance management

     

    Audit & Risk Management

     

    + Conduct regular audits of HR practices, to identify and address potential compliance goals.

    + Monitor and report on compliance metrics using dashboards and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI)

    + Work with HR partners to investigate and resolve compliance concerns, including those reported via the Integrity Helpline

    + Collaborate with legal counsel on complex compliance matters, as needed

    + Support background check reviews in coordination with Talent Acquisition

     

    Technology & Analytics

     

    + Leverage HRIS platforms to streamline compliance workflows and reporting

    + Use data analytics to identify trends, assess risk, and inform proactive compliance strategies

    + Create dashboards and reports to monitor compliance metrics and inform leadership decisions

     

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

     

    + Partner with Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Legal, and DEI teams to ensure cohesive compliance practices

    + Support onboarding and background check reviews in coordination with HR and TA leadership

     

    Regulatory Monitoring & Reporting

     

    + Stay current on changes in employment law and update internal policies accordingly

    + Prepare reports and documentation for internal committees and external regulatory bodies

    + Ensure all employee-related data and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements
