    Are you passionate about creating and managing for highly complex systems? Join our team! As a Systems Security Engineer II, you will be using your skills and expertise to design, test, and implement our secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, and tuning. You'll be responsible for the management of our IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, and developing and implementing security controls. You'll research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies in alignment with our IT security strategy and introduce them to the enterprise.

    Responsibilities:

    + Design, test, and implement secure classified information systems, network, environments, and capabilities

    + Manage and engineer cybersecurity capabilities at SNC including cybersecurity network tools, data loss prevention, monitoring and visibility tools, enterprise system agents, etc.

    + Ensure comprehensive documentation of information systems, functionalities, compliance, standards, and processes

    + Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments; develop and implement security controls

    + Work closely with other teams across SNC, collaborating to perform security assessments, provide guidance, and foster a culture of security at SNC

    + Participate in acquisition meetings (PMR, PDR, CDR, etc.), concept of operation (CONOP) working groups, change boards, technical exchange meetings and other similar activities

    + Assist in the design and deployment of systems and networks that encompass multiple enclaves to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements IAW NIST SP 800-53, ICD 503, RMF, and CNSSI 1253

    + Employ best practices when implementing security requirements for information systems including Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 2+ years of relevant experience

    + A higher-level degree may substitute for experience

    + Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

    + Superb communication skills requested, along with ability to work with other vendors, contractors, and DoD organizations to achieve best results

    + Polished and professional writing skills demonstrated by the creation of detailed reports and meaningfully organized data that allows senior leadership to make rapid assessments and decisions

    + Always exhibits an attitude that promotes a positive work environment in high paced, challenging circumstances Solution-oriented view to any challenge

    + Understanding of and experience with change and configuration management principles and policies while adhering to strict guidelines and policy set forth by the DoD

    + Experience with both Windows or Linux operating systems

    + DoD 8140 Certification (Ex: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA CASP+/SecurityX, CISA, ISC2 SSCP etc.)

    + Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance with ability to Obtain Top Secret

    + Proven track record of maintaining the confidentiality of high-sensitivity projects and data.

    + Ability to perform critical-incident response

    + Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures

    + Ability to read and interpret security and technical documentation

    + Strong Windows, Linux, and Azure IL4/6 Background

    + Experience with STIG

    + Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code technologies and principles

    + Experience with tools like Terraform and Ansible

    + Strong scripting and automation skills, with experience using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and threats.

    + Experience implementing and maintaining compliance controls.

    + Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server virtualized administration and deployment.

    Estimated Starting Salary Range: $94,345.12 - $129,724.54. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
