    DESCRIPTION

    We are looking for a talented **Legal Administrative Assistant** to join our team specializing in **Law** for our Cummins Inc. facility in **Indianapolis, IN** .

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    + **Ensure Data Accuracy and Integrity** : By gathering, verifying, and inputting data into reports, presentations, and systems, you will help maintain high standards of accuracy that support informed decision-making.

    + **Streamline Administrative Processes** : Your coordination of documents and scheduling of meetings and calls will keep operations running smoothly and efficiently for your team or department.

    + **Support Strategic Initiatives** : Through research and statistical reporting, you'll provide valuable insights that contribute to departmental goals and business improvement projects.

    + **Enhance Internal and External Communication** : By responding to inquiries and preparing correspondence, you will ensure that stakeholders receive timely and accurate information, strengthening relationships.

    + **Facilitate Financial Operations** : Your role in preparing and submitting vendor payment documentation will support timely and accurate financial transactions, helping maintain trust and compliance.

    + **Maintain Organizational Knowledge** : Documenting and updating departmental policies and procedures ensures continuity and clarity for current and future team members.

    + **Contribute to Team Development** : Acting as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues, you'll foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

    + **Drive Continuous Improvement** : Your participation in business improvement assignments and projects will help identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation within the department.

    Education/Experience

    + High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

    + This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

    + Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Additional Information

    + Notary Public preferred.

    + At least 5 years' experience in an administrative role supporting people with complex calendars and travel needs.

    + Knowledge of Concur and Ariba beneficial.

    + Knowledge of Legal Matter Management / eBilling systems beneficial.

    + Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and manage critical and sensitive information.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.

    + Superior organizational and planning skills including attention to detail.

    + Ability to be focused and proactive and have a positive attitude.

    + Superior written and verbal communication skills and high proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

    + Strive to meet and exceed expectations; intuitively understand stakeholders; anticipate needs and provide value.

    + Possess a global mindset – global awareness/sensitivity to culture, understanding different cultural norms and expectations.

     

    _*This role requires the finalist to be within a reasonable commuting distance to the DBU HQ Building in Indianapolis, IN on a regular basis._

    final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s

     

    qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
