    Job Summary and Qualifications

    •​A Nurse Navigator Orthopedics helps to manage the care of orthopedic and surgical patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines of the healthcare organization. ​

    Major Responsibilities:

    + ​Recognizes common manifestations of musculoskeletal disorders

    + ​Serves as a Coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

    + ​Instructs and educates patients and families. ​

    + Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. ​

    + Provides age and culturally appropriate care. ​

    + Orients and mentors new staff members. ​

    + Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

    + ​​Performs other duties as assigned.​ ​​

    + Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.”​

    What qualifications you will need:

    + Advanced Cardiac Life Spt

    + Basic Cardiac Life Support

    + ​Ortho/Neuro Surgery clinical experience (Minimum 2 years in an ARNP role) ​​Required​​​

    + Minimum 3-5 years Nursing Experience; Leadership Experience ​​Preferred​
