Job Summary and Qualifications

The Facility Safety Coordinator is responsible for overseeing a Safety Management Program designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all patients, employees, physicians, and visitors, as well as the assets of the facility. The Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all employees and customers. The Coordinator will participate in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Maintains appropriate awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of TriStar Centennial Medical Center.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Education: B.S. degree with three years of hospital regulatory experience preferred, or an Associate’s degree with 3 years of experience in hospital regulatory requirements preferred, or work under the direct supervision of someone who meets these qualifications.

+ Licensure/Certification: CLSS, NFPA 101(with in 6 months)

+ Experience: Five years’ experience in Hospital Plant Operations preferred. Experience on personal computers using spreadsheets and word processing preferred.
