    Our client, a leader in the Food, Beverage, Consumer Products, and Life Sciences/Pharma industries, is seeking a Senior Automation Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Automation Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting automation and controls projects across various facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Senior Automation Controls Engineer

    **Pay Range:** Up to $150,000 annual salary

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Lead and execute automation and controls engineering design activities for diverse EPC projects.

    + Manage and develop technical staff, ensuring high-quality project delivery.

    + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, electrical, controls, procurement, and construction teams.

    + Develop and review software design deliverables such as PLC and HMI programming, Batch, MES, and virtualization solutions.

    + Oversee vendor specifications, procurement activities, and manage Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited program.

    + 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, with EPC project and automation controls experience preferred.

    + Expert knowledge of electrical equipment design, ANSI and IEEE standards, and automation systems such as PLC, SCADA, SIS, BMS, and DCS.

    + Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams and delegating tasks effectively.

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with clients.
