    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (40 hours/week with a 30-minute lunch)

    Summary

    KeenLogic is seeking to hire a successful Data Entry Specialist to join our team on Capitol Hill. This is a full-time position offering Fortune 500-level benefits, PTO, 401k, and Life Insurance, and monthly reimbursement for travel.

     

    The CAO seeks two Data Entry Contractors to support the House Paid Intern Program within the Office of Payroll & Benefits. In a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, you will review, validate, and enter personnel and payroll actions—such as New Hires, Salary Adjustments, Student Loans, and Terminations—into the Lawson Payroll system. The role also includes filing, document management, basic research, and day-to-day office support. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

    + At least 1 year of experience in a payroll processing environment (Lawson Payroll System experience preferred).

    + At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

    + Proven data entry accuracy in a high-volume, customer-service setting.

    + Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a complex, fast-paced, and confidential team environment.

    + Customer-service mindset; clear written and verbal communication.

    + Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.

    Preferred/Desired Experience

    + Familiarity with Lawson (Infor) Payroll System.

    + Experience handling personnel action forms and payroll documentation in a regulated environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Review incoming paperwork for completeness and accuracy; research and validate information as needed.

    + Enter personnel actions (e.g., New Hires, Salary Adjustments, Terminations) into Lawson to support regular and off-cycle payrolls.

    + Process monthly Student Loan paperwork in Lawson.

    + Maintain employee records by updating name, address, and W-4 tax changes in Lawson.

    + Set up new health and life insurance deductions as required.

    + Work closely with payroll counseling staff to resolve paperwork issues and post-payroll discrepancies.

    + Sort, file, and organize high volumes of documentation for the Office of Payroll & Benefits.

    + Manage a high volume of inbound documentation and call activity with professionalism and accuracy.

    + Provide general office support and assist permanent staff with research and special tasks as assigned.
