• Production Control Specialist

    Job Descriptions:

    GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

    To effectively plan, monitor, and control manufactured and purchased parts required to meet the Master Production Schedule.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    + Communicates departmental needs and shortages through all production flow paths in order to meet schedule.

    + Interfaces with various support functions to prevent schedule misses.

    + Provides feedback to the Production Control Analyst and Master Scheduler in order to prioritize and balance workloads.

    + Provide assistance to the Production Control Analyst and departmental supervisors to ensure open issues are resolved in a timely manner.

    + Tracks outsourced materials.

    + Coordinates manufacturing of spare parts in order to maintain schedule requirements.

    + Recommend continuous improvements.

    + Other duties may be assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Required Experience:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    + Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.

    + Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.

    + Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.

    + Ability to adhere to workplace rules.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + 1 to 2 years production control experience.

    + Proficient in use of MS Office Suite.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + Office environment.

    + Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.

    + Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).

    + Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

    + Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
