Summary:
The System Administrator is a technical owner and assumes a lead role in the administration of Business and Clinical Intelligence applications and tools. Ensures the coordinated, controlled and optimal operation of the assigned systems and tools. Ensures performance, interoperability and effectiveness. Systems and applications that involve administrative capabilities include Epic Cogito, Epic Security, Data Courier, and CBI databases. Partners to facilitate a process-people-technology method of transformation and administers/supports these enterprise IT applications and tools for all Catholic Health (CH) facilities. Identifies, develops and implements software solutions, managing vendor software and aligning best practices. Serves as a SME and technical liaison. Performs problem diagnostics, creates solutions, and addresses ticket resolution and tracking. Provides analysis, builds solutions, and tests optimizations. Prepares specifications and documentation. Supports specific projects. Works collaboratively with members of multiple teams to provide coordinated solutions to complex problems.
The System Administrator does so at an advanced complexity and competency and is a resource to IT team members. Procedures for the job are general and work is minimally supervised. The associate knows and analyzes procedures, interprets and adapts them with discretion as necessary.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ Certifications pertinent to assigned applications and tools. CHS Enterprise EMR and Enterprise collaboration recognized with preference
+ Industry Certifications pertinent to Project Management recognized with preference
EXPERIENCE
+ Minimum seven (7) years of job experience in a computer science, business or healthcare field
+ Previous Epic certification(s) strongly preferred
+ Previous healthcare information systems support experience strongly preferred
+ Intermediate computer experience required, with minimum five (5) years, including PCs, multiple applications and larger systems
+ CHS EMR and collaboration System Administrator experience required for Web-based enterprise-scale software platform
+ Enterprise Collaboration software such as Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, Jira Portfolio, Trello) experience is required, spanning modules is preferred
+ Workflow configuration experience with automation and workflow optimization required
+ Application connectivity experience with security designs and tools, and with Active Directory / LDAP required
+ Project Management experience and understanding of PMBOK and Agile principles
+ Experience with MS SQL database administration and Windows server administration
+ Experience implementing and supporting application and business-to-business interfaces. Knowledge of API, SFTP. Knowledge of XML
+ Experience with analytics and reporting tools, such as Crystal Reports, Microstrategy, SQL, Visual Studio
+ Experience supporting a complex enterprise structure, with multiple legal organizations
+ Experience with mission critical, highly available, enterprise environments (including dev/test/prod)
+ Candidates for a clinical team should also be familiar with regulatory requirements applicable to patient care to include, but not limited to, JCAHO, NYSDOH, HIPAA, and OSHA. Clinical team candidates should also be proficient with patient care processes commonly found across the continuum of care

+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills and track record of facilitating discussions and decision making
+ Demonstrated advanced skills with personal computer applications, including Windows, and Microsoft Office applications
+ Intermediate skills with Microsoft networking, Microsoft Server, and Web-based Application delivery
+ Excellent organizational and analytical skills
+ Ability to establish excellent working relationships with hospital staff and vendor staff at all levels
+ Ability and means to travel among CH sites
+ Advanced knowledge of systems analysis concepts, techniques, tools, and standards
+ Demonstrated knowledge of assigned application groups, with proficient understanding of related integrations
+ Demonstrated track record of excellent project and system documentation
+ Ability to configure changes involving system upgrades, patches, testing, issue resolution
+ Ability to deliver repeatedly on tight timelines and demanding schedules
+ Demonstrated ability to proactively analyze and anticipate impacts of changes or modifications, technical or operational, to a complex environment.
+ Ability to successfully complete any required training and/or certifications pertinent to software support
